Computer & Internet Policies
The Floyd Memorial Library has computer stations available for adults, teens and children.
Patrons can request the use of a laptop by visiting the Circulation Desk. To borrow a laptop patrons must trade in a library card, driver’s license or another form of acceptable ID determined by the staff at the Circulation Desk.
Floyd Memorial Library provides access to the Internet to help Greenport, East Marion and Orient residents of all ages receive answers to their questions and to provide easy access to resources for personal enjoyment and learning.
The Internet is an unregulated medium. Not all sources on the Internet provide information that is current, accurate, or complete. Some of the material on the Internet may be objectionable. You may see things on the Internet that you do not wish to see or wish your children to view. Floyd Memorial Library is unable to control or monitor the content of the materials on the Internet, some of which changes quickly and without warning.
