Library Cards & Account
To obtain a library card visit the Circulation Desk, our staff can assist you with the card application process, as well as checking out and returning materials. Please provide ID and proof of address (in the Greenport or Oysterponds School Districts) when applying for a card at the Circulation Desk. Registrations are renewed every three years with proof of street address.
Guest cards are provided for the convenience of regular cardholders to be used at Floyd Memorial Library only.
Temporary non resident cards for the use of the library are issued upon payment of a $20 fee. Temporary cards are issued for a period of one year.
All visitors are welcome to in-house use of our materials, programs and facilities.
You can establish a personal library account which will allow you to keep track of what you have borrowed, what is currently checked out to your card, and what hold requests you have pending. You can place your own requests and renew items.
